Hello, my name is Robert Silver and I have been teaching at Loganville High School for 17 years and absolutely love it here. Prior to my teaching career I was an ASE Certified Master Auto Technician. I hold an AS degree from Gwinnett Technical College in Automotive Service Technology as well as a BSED degree from the University of Georgia in Science Education. I have taught Zoology Environmental Science, Biology and Physics here. A few years ago I transitioned to the Career and Technical Education Department as the instructor of the Engineering program. Moving to the Engineering Program has been one of the best decisions of my professional career. My goal is to help students learn to think critically, problem solve, design and create unique and useful products while learning to work with, respect and collaborate with their peers.
I was born in Atlanta and live just down the road in Snellville with my wife, Carmel and son Skyler. We also have adult identical twin daughters, Rachel and Renee who are law school and grad school graduates respectively and come home from time to time. Although not as much as our son would like. Over the summer we welcomed Clare Rachel Arneson (Renee's daughter and my Granddaughter) to the family!
It is an honor to be able to do this for a living and I will do my best every day to make your child's experience in my class as meaningful as possible.
Sincerely,
Robert M, Silver
