Welcome to Plympton Elementary!
It is my hope that you will find helpful information here.
Know that you may call me directly at 781-314-5763 Monday-Friday 8:15am-3:00pm if you have a specific question or concern or any updates regarding the health of your child.
MEDICATION AT SCHOOL
You must speak to me directly if your child will need any type of medication during the school day. I am allowed to give Tylenol, Calamine and Hydrocortisone Cream only with your signed permission. All other medications, like inhalers, epinephrine and ADHD medications require a Doctor’s Order renewed the beginning of each and every school year.
If the medicine is for a one time dose or less than 10 days, like eye drops or antibiotics, you need to speak to me directly and send in the pharmacy labeled prescription bottle.
ILLNESSES AT SCHOOL
Your child must be fever free, vomit free and diarrhea free for 24 hours before returning to school.
Your child must be prepared to fully participate in the school day’s activities. A note from a doctor is required to excuse a child from recess and/or gym.
We use the temperature reading of 100.4 F to decide if a student should be sent home.
SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS
You must submit a new Physical Exam Form from a health care provider entering Kindergarten and then again before Grade 4. You may always send in copies whenever you visit the doctor for their annual physical or well visit.
