The NCTA Honor Award is given to individuals who demonstrate significant contributions in three areas: Educational Service, Community Service and Association Service.
The NCTA School Community Service Award is given to individuals who demonstrate service to public education.
Nominated by their local, this $300 award will be given to a first, second or third year educator who exemplifies the following characteristics:
● The nominee must be licensed to teach in Massachusetts and currently employed as a classroom educator.
● The nominee must have been a classroom educator for less than 3 years and intends to remain in their current NCTA local for the following school year.
● The nominee should show promise as an exceptional educator who is meeting the needs of students and who is developing professional expertise
** The list of all nominees will be included in our banquet program. One educator will emerge as "Rookie of the Year" and receive a $300 award and will be formally recognized at the June banquet.
