Grade 3

Students in grade 3 come to reading support 5 times a week. Each class is 45 minutes long. The skills listed below are worked on throughout third grade. We use a variety of fiction and nonfiction texts to work on these skills.

Phonics Skills

Internet 4 Classrooms - This is a free web portal designed to assist teachers and parents to find free internet resources for grades Pre-K to 8 to us for practice in the areas of language arts, mat, science and social studies.

Book Adventure- Book Adventure is a free way to motivate your child to read. Kids K-8 can search for books, read them offline, and take quizzes on what they have read.

Spelling City - students can work on their phonics and spelling skills.

https://www.funbrain.com/books - a big library of books for students to read online. Books geared from grade levels K-8 can be found on funbrain. There are also other games and videos for kids to enjoy.
