Writing

We are making some shifts on how we teach writing at WMS! We are "writing to learn" which means we are thinking aloud and planning on paper! The benefits of this include:

• increased neural activity

• deeper level of processing

• a "screen free" environment

• higher student engagement

• increased ownership

Students are experiencing a more authentic approach to writing and we have already seen some positive benefits! Please encourage your students to try this process at home as well!
