Upcoming 2020 CoderDojo Dates:
The workshops will be held in the Johnson Middle School's Maker Space. The free sessions will run from 11 AM - 1 PM and are open to students grades 4-6. Chromebooks will be available for students to use during the session.
2020 SESSIONS ARE BEING PLANNED!
What is Sphero?
Sphero is a robot ball with several features that can be controlled through mobile apps, including computer programs that the students build. We will be working with the Sphero Bolts that have a striking LED matrix and advanced sensors. The Sphero BOLT robot provides endless opportunities to be creative and have fun while learning.
We plan to hold more Coderdojo sessions again this winter at the JMS Maker Space. We are hosting this kick-off event to get the ball, or should we say robot, rolling!
This is a FREE workshop, but registration is required and space is limited. Please only sign up if you are sure that you will be able to attend!
Coderdojo Walpole is a volunteer organization focused on teaching kids how to code in a fun, free, informal environment. We believe strongly that the ability to program will be increasingly important to our children in the 21st century so we volunteer our time to teach children how to code, build websites, apps, and video games. We hope that this introduction will ignite a passion for coding!
