TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Mrs. Ong believes that everyone has the right to a good education regardless of age, gender, religion, race, disabilities or economic circumstance. She thinks that the purpose of an education is to teach students from different backgrounds to be responsible and productive citizens so that they can make a positive difference in their lives and in the world.

As a teacher, Mrs. Ong encourages communication, discovery, exploration, and tolerance. As a facilitator, she teaches students to think independently, fostering individuality in a community setting. Respect for others, empathy, forgiveness, and kindness are words that communicate her beliefs.
