Did you know California ranks in the bottom third nationally for per-pupil funding? That’s why Walnut Creek families support the Walnut Creek Education Foundation (WCEF TK–12)—a nonprofit that fills the gap between state funding and what our students truly need to thrive.

Your donation directly supports students in TK–8 across WCSD by funding:

• Weekly art, music, and science lab classes taught by credentialed specialists

• A district-wide librarian to maintain vibrant, accessible school libraries

• Access to expanded electives and enrichment programs at the middle school level

WCEF also supports Las Lomas High School, helping to ensure students continue to have access to robust academic, arts, and wellness programs when they reach high school.

The suggested donation is $825 per student, or any amount that works for your family. Every gift—big or small—makes an impact.

Your school’s PTA or PTO plays a key role in building community and enriching daily student life. Each PTA/PTO supports critical academic needs, is an active voice on decisions impacting your child’s health, safety and quality of education, and builds stronger and more inclusive school communities.  

STEP 2 includes annual PTA/PTO participation waivers, membership and donation opportunities, information on how to get involved, and more. While membership and donation are optional, the participation waiver is required.  

STEP 2 must be completed before continuing to STEP 3 - WCSD's Aeries Parent Portal. 

Make sure your school has accurate contact, emergency, and health information for your child. Aeries syncs directly with ParentSquare, WCSD’s communication platform—used by your school, district, teachers, and some PTA/Os. Keeping your details up to date ensures you won’t miss important updates, messages, or emergency alerts, and helps us keep your child(ren) safe throughout the year.
