Content and Standards
8th grade science curriculum is based on the Next Generation Science Standards—link above. The standards are integrated in this course and are augmented with content that goes deeper and/or is based on what is going on in the world for relevance. This course will also include projects that are authentic and timely (thus not listed in the course outline but will be introduced as they are shared with students). Projects in science will at times stand on their own, as well as be integrated with other curricular areas. The curriculum storyline attached may be somewhat altered throughout the school year due to student interest, PBL project topics, and timing.
