The units listed below are in the order that we learn them.
Positive Rational Numbers
Use models and real world examples to add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals and fractions

Integers and Rational Numbers
Use a number line to identify, compare, and order rational numbers
Use the absolute value of a number to describe its distance from zero on a number line and to find the distance between points on a coordinate plane
Numeric and Algebraic Expressions
Use exponents and the order of operations to evaluate a numerical expression
Write and evaluate algebraic expressions to represent a situation
Simplify expressions to generate equivalent expressions
Represent and Solve Equations and Inequalities
Write and solve equations using addition and subtraction
Write and solve equations using multiplication and division
Use an inequality symbol to represent a situation
Understand and Use Ratio and Rate
Create and solve ratio problems by creating equivalent ratios
Use ratios to compare different quantities and solve unit rates problems
Use unit rates and conversion factors to convert customary, metric, or both units of measure
Understand and Use Percents
Convert between fractions, decimals, and percents
Use percents to find the part or the whole of a number
Solve Area, Surface Area, and Volume Problems
Find the area of parallelograms, triangles, trapezoids, and other polygons
Find the surface area of prisms and pyramids
Find the volume of prisms
Display, Describe, and Summarize Data
Find the mean, median, mode, and range of a data set
Use a box plot, frequency table, or histogram to display data
Use the MAD and IQR to describe the spread of a data set
