About Your Teacher

Hi Dragons!
I am thrilled to be teaching here at Allenwood for the 2023-2024 school year!

For the past two years I worked as a 5th grade social studies and science teacher at Berea Elementary School in Greenville, South Carolina. Before that, I worked at Ridgewood Avenue School in Glen Ridge, New Jersey for 6 years . There I also taught fourth grade math and science, so I feel extremely comfortable back in fourth grade!

I grew up in Howell and went to Monmouth University where I majored in elementary education and history. I also have a degree in photography. I love visiting our local beaches (especially Lavallette and Ocean Grove) and this past August, I married my husband in Asbury Park.  I'll eventually be known as Mrs. Cusumano, but for now, Ms. Meeker works!  My husband and I currently live here in Monmouth County with our two dogs, Tucker and Archer, and our cat, Piper.  In my free time I love taking our pups to the beach and the mountains, traveling to new placesq, taking photos, playing video games, and researching my family history!
