1. Register for the program.
   Fill out a registration form for each participant. Remember, all young readers are welcome to join us.

2. Select a Reading Log.
   Choose a log that best fits your participant's reading level. You can change which form you use at any time.

3. Read, read, read!
   Read as many books as you can, all summer long! Every book counts! These can include books required by your child's school, books you read to your child, and every book read during a storytime you attend. For suggestions and recommendations, check out our Book Lists.

4. Submit your Reading Log.
   Submit a reading log for every ten books or 50 pages you read, OR once a week (whichever comes first) to earn your virtual badge. You may continue to submit Reading Logs at your child's own pace until the close of the Summer Reading program.

5. Collect your Virtual Reading Badges.
   Track your reading progress with virtual badges! Each child's collection will appear on this site, and a printable Puzzle Piece file will be emailed directly to you after each submitted Reading Log. Badges can also be earned by attending virtual programs, participating in online prompts, and more throughout the summer. Keep track of your badges here.

6. Unlock special prizes.
   Special prizes will be available for pick up at JFK Memorial Library sporadically throughout the summer. Keep an eye on your badge progress and collect your puzzle pieces! (You will also receive them via email.) You will be able to collect a prize each time you collect enough pieces to complete the puzzle.

7. Have fun!
   Try to read new, interesting books that you love! And don't forget to attend some of our library's virtual programs!
