Walks on the day
A Non-Profit Organization assisting the White Swan Community with Long-Term Disaster Recovery. Operated and based in Lake Andes, South Dakota
Walks on the Day is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation and is organized for charitable purposes to raise funds for the White Swan Community on the Yankton Sioux Reservation in South Dakota. The community has been impacted by compound disasters such as flooding from a bomb cyclone in March 2019 and another storm in September 2019 then affected by the COVID 19 pandemic. Funds raised will be applied to obtain food, legal representation, water purification, and replacing/repairing household items and help securing the health and well-being during the pandemic. Funds will be also be applied to any other practical needs to restore or enhance the Community.
We are assisting the White Swan Community and surrounding areas with distribution of hand sanitizer during this pandemic.
