The German Club is open to all students, regardless of whether or not they can speak any German. The club has cultural meetings each month, where students learn about German traditions. The students will try German foods, and learn about holidays celebrated in German-speaking countries. They will also design a club t-shirt. Dues are $25, which covers the t-shirt and snacks. The German Club also helps plan for the annual State German Convention, where students from the German classes take part in various language and culture competitions. There are several fundraisers throughout the year to help offset additional club expenses. Students can gain leadership skills, by stepping forward.
