The student buddy system:
To help out with the new incoming students, the multicultural council has created a buddy system where long-time students at Wakatipu High School can link up with incoming students. There is a large variety of student buddies that speak all kinds of languages, therefore if an incoming student feels more comfortable speaking in a language other than English, they are able to request a buddy that speaks the same language as them. There are 2 types of buddies a student can request: a Virtual buddy, where the student and the buddy communicate through emails, or a Physical buddy, where a past student can meet up with the student during school breaks and show them around. To request a buddy, fill in the buddy here!
