Building Principal & Director of Innovative Programs

I am proud to serve as the Building Principal and Director of Innovative Programs here at WAJ, where I oversee our incredible staff and students from PK–12. I am committed to advancing our district’s mission: to provide the resources and environment that maximize the opportunity for each and every student to reach their academic, creative, and athletic potential. I am always looking for ways to create opportunities for students to explore their interests, discover their strengths, and achieve their full potential.
I grew up in New Jersey, where I attended school and later earned my undergraduate degree from William Paterson University. I went on to earn a Master’s in Elementary Education and an Education Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from NOVA Southeastern University in Florida, where we lived for ten years and where I first taught elementary school. I hold permanent New York State certifications in School District Administration and School Administration/Supervision.
For more than 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in leadership roles at the district, BOCES, and building levels, including time at Questar III BOCES, Cairo-Durham Central School District, and multiple schools in Florida. What I’ve enjoyed most throughout my career is creating environments in schools where students feel supported, where new ideas are encouraged, and where the whole community feels connected to the work we’re doing together.
Outside of school, Capri and I are the proud parents of five amazing children, ranging in age from 9 to 19. They are my greatest inspiration and a daily reminder of the importance of making every student’s school experience as positive and rewarding as possible.
