I was born here in Waitara but grew up in Bell Block and then New Plymouth. I am the youngest child of 3, and both my mother and sister were also teachers. I have two children of my own, a son and a daughter. I love animals, the beach, and spending time with my family.

In 2001, I completed my Bachelor of Education through Massey University. I worked at Sacred Heart Girls' College and Inglewood High School before moving to Waitara High School in 2015.
