This is one of the Across School Kāhui Ako Kapa Haka items we are learning.  Each school within our Kaipara Kāhui Ako is currently learning this as well.  We have a group of student leaders within our Kapa Haka rōpū that attend the Kāhui Ako hui each term.  They learn segments of waiata and haka and bring it back to share/teach our rōpū.

This item can be used at a range of both formal and informal events of Ngāti Whātua, particularly during the Matariki period.
