Our current focus is responding to the novel The Unexpected Hero by L.P Hansen.

Through using this shared reading text across the syndicate, we will have learning opportunities to:

• Collaborate, communicate and connect with other students to share our thoughts and ideas about the text.

• Discuss ways in which authors use language and ideas to convey a message.

• Respond to, and demonstrate our ideas creatively.

• Identify and engage in critical thinking about the plot and themes in the book.
