Year 10 Junior Certificate of Achievement

Year Ten Junior Certificate: Physical Education & Health

In 2020, all Year 10 students will complete the Waiheke High School Year 10 Junior Certificate. 20 points are awarded per subject (10 for optional) and all results are recorded on Kamar, culminating in an overview of points for the full school year. A total of 80 points enables the students to pass the certificate.

• Points will be awarded (10 for PE, 10 for Health) as an NA/A/M or E.

Physical Education Points:

Term 1: Participation (including kit) - Athletics, Basketball, International games, Softball (3 points)

Term 2: Interpersonal skills - Maori Games, Volleyball, Fitness (2 points)

Term 3: Leadership - Student led lessons (3 Points)

Term 4: Skill level - Badminton, Touch Rugby, Invasion Games (2 points)

Health Points:

A2: Regular Physical Activity: Fitness Programme (3 points)

A1: Personal Growth and Development: Careers (2 points)

C2: Identity, Sensitivity and Respect: Mental Health (2 points)

D1: Societal Attitudes and Values: Drugs (3 points)
