Roger Drake, owner of Bonnie's Flowers, has been one of the Academic Team's greatest backers, ever since his oldest son Ryan led the team to a State Tournament berth ten years ago. In 2016, Brett Drake led the team to its first ever State Championship and was named both a National Merit Scholar and an Academic Team All-Stater.

Wagoner County Abstract is a major supporter of Wagoner Public Schools! Mike Hickman is so invested in the district, he even serves on the WPS School Board.
Wagoner Country Abstract protects property rights. Their office keeps their own set of records from the county clerk and court clerk, building their abstracts from those records. Josh is a former WHS Academic Team captain. He led the team in scoring from 2007 - 2009. His older brother, Matt, was also captain of the team during the 2002-2003 season. Josh currently works for Apple in California. Josh has always been one of the team's biggest fans, and now he's one of its biggest donors! You da man, "Ern!" Only the best clear plates, I mean rings, for the WHS Academic Team!
Mrs. Lane is a former English teacher at WPS. She is at the forefront of the Wagoner Education Foundation which raises funds for classroom teachers. Jim is the owner of A-Best Roofing.
Mrs. Jackson is an icon, having taught AP U.S. History at WHS for many years. Like Mrs. Lane, she works tirelessly for the Wagoner Education Foundation. Dr. John Jackson has retired from the medical field, but their daughter Jennifer has now taken up the reins.
David is the father of Coach John French and former Academic Team All-Stater Julie French. He is related to the infamous Becky Crocker and is a doting grandfather to his grandson, Luca.
Becky is loudest member of the French family. She wears this honor with pride. Becky is also famous for her travels, card playing ability, and fundraising efforts with the Wagoner Education Foundation.
Mrs. Brown is a legendary Wagoner Elementary teacher. In fact, she is one of Mr. French's favorite/most memorable teachers!
Vic Owens is an accomplished attorney. He has two sons, Colt and Shane, who both attended WHS.
Morgan Johnson's grandmother insists Pluto is still a planet.
Brett was the first captain ever to lead WHS to a State Title.

Also known as Richie and Hank's grandparents, these two are also responsible for the Smokin' Sisters. Here they are pictured with Richie and Hank's sister Olivia, who just happens to be an Academic Team All-Stater.
Sharon came in clutch as Team Mom during State. She helped organize gift bags for all of the players and purchased Chik-fil-a for lunch. Steve brought us all sparkling grape juice to celebrate our big win!
The team's most eccentric cheerleader during State, Christy kept things interesting the entire time including when she almost blurted out an answer! Christy is the mother of a former Academic Team All-Stater, a potential National Merit Scholar, and another future Academic Team All-Stater.
Morgan's mom Corey sacrificed reading academic team questions every night to help Morgan skyrocket into academic team super-stardom. She also helped with gift bags and provided some spending cash for all of the players and was there to cheer us on at State. Morgan's dad Jodie was invested in the team's performance all day at State and couldn't have been prouder of his son.
AKA, Shelby's mom, Kari helped with gift bags and financing our State trip. Kari also gets high marks for raising one of the best players in WHS Academic Team history.
Ms. Tillotson provided the sugar rush we all needed during our break during competition at State. The rice krispies treats and the ginger snaps were smash hits and none were left by the time the day was over.
Parents of former academic team member Carter Wisdom, Micah and Pebble are second to none in the volunteering world. They are big supporters of Wagoner Public Schools and the entire community and are two of the nicest people you will ever meet.
Youth Leader Amanda Presley and the Methodist Church Youth Group gave a generous donation to help with purchasing rings. WHS Academic Team player Chloe Triggs is a member of the group.
Marcia and Harvey Fender are no strangers to Academic Team, as their daughter Sheryl was a member of the team for four years.
Wanda is Mr. French's first cousin once removed. After purchasing shirts, she and her twin Donna wanted to make sure the team had enough funds to purchase rings, so they graciously donated to the cause!
Mr. French's Aunt and Uncle donated in honor of Dan French, Mr. French's uncle who passed away in March. Here they are pictured with their daughter, Cindy.
Morgan donated her time reading for the Academic Team this year at Area. Morgan is also a former Academic Team player and valedictorian of WHS. She is currently an attorney after graduating from OU Law. However, her most notable accomplishment was winning Outstanding Eighth Grade Girl!
Dr. Lindsay is no stranger to donating to Wagoner Public Schools as both his daughter Annie, who is now a CPA, and son Chris, who now works on Wall Street, both attended WHS. He can be found Monday and Thursday nights at the Wagoner tennis courts.
