School is in session (what!?), so I know what you're thinking: "What am I going to do with my kids after school?" I'm glad you asked.

Check out the PTO's fall After-School Enrichment options. These are third party programs that take place AT WADE KING, and offer your younglings a variety of fun activities to keep their little minds and bodies busy until you have the energy to face them and figure out what the heck is for dinner.

Mark your calendars: registration starts on Wade King's 6Crickets page on Sept. 14 at 7 a.m. (minus Girls on the Run and Honor Choir, which are available now.) Fall sessions are generally eight weeks long and begin the week of Sept. 28. 

Offerings include AI game design, ceramics, Honor Choir, TikTok dance technique, Girls on the Run, mixed media art, chess club, yoga, martial arts, and Mythmakers. And scholarships are available upon request. The After-School Enrichment page has all the relevant deets and links.

Our first PTO meeting will take place Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 6:30 p.m. in the Wade King library.

If you're part of the Wade King community, you're already a PTO member, no fee, paperwork, or ritual needed. Our meetings are open to everyone, and volunteering with us is appreciated but never required. Most importantly, we value your input.

On the agenda, among other things: we'll introduce this year's officers, approve the budget, discuss upcoming events and goals, and have a general discussion to gear up for the new school year.

The Wade King Honor Choir is an after-school enrichment opportunity for grades 3rd to 5th. Students in Honor Choir will travel if and when outside opportunities become available.
