About Mr. Uftring

I was born and raised in Washington, IL, and graduated from WCHS in 2000. After high school, I went to ICC where I played basketball for 2 years. I transferred to Illinois State University where I earned my Bachelors Degree; I then went back to school and earned my Physical Education Teacher Certification at Eureka College. 

My wife, Jessica, and I were high school sweethearts and have been married for 18 years.  We have three boys, Tye , Paxson , and Rhett. I love fitness and sharing my passion for it. I also love watching my boys play sports and watching my Chicago sports' teams. 

This will be my 4th year at Washington Community High School.  I previously worked for 11 years at Central Intermediate where I am still coaching basketball. I am also the assistant golf coach here at WCHS. I am looking forward to an excellent school year!
