Community Approves Special Election Question

On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, West Sioux Community School District voters approved a one-question bond referendum in the amount of $15,500,000 for facility and learning environment improvements.

Following the vote, the unofficial election results are:

923 YES (80%) and 231 NO (20%)

“Our community has spoken, we are grateful for their decision and the opportunities it will give our students, staff, and community for many years to come,” said Superintendent Steve Grond.

Grond continued, “This investment will allow us to continue to offer the exceptional education our communities expect, and that our students deserve.”

Next steps include continued design and engineering work with our project partner SitelogIQ.

The district will continue to keep the community informed on the progress of current and future facility projects.

Thank you voters!
