What is the VEC Alliance?
The ValleyView Early Childhood (VEC) Alliance is a network of community-based organizations (CBOs) who serve preschool-aged children (3-5 years old) within the Valley View school district. The purpose of the Alliance is to foster partnerships with other early childhood professionals as we work to develop, expand, and sustain inclusive practices to support young children with disabilities. Participating CBOs will collaborate and learn together through a series of in-person trainings and professional development opportunities offered by a variety of presenters in order to enhance their skills and knowledge about inclusive practices and improve the overall quality of their program. Alliance members will have ongoing opportunities to offer feedback on training needs, identify professional development goals, and develop action steps for achieving those goals.
Who can attend VEC Alliance trainings?
VEC Alliance trainings are designed for early childhood professionals working with children ages 3-5 in Bolingbrook and Romeoville. Directors/owners, teachers, assistants, and other staff in childcare centers, family childcare homes, and community preschools are invited to attend.
