Welcome to the Van Vleck High School's Counselors' Corner!
What is the role of the Academic Advisor/School Counselor
Academic Advisor
Work alongside the entire staff to promote the academic, personal, and social development of all students. This includes supporting students and families with educational pathways, scheduling, post secondary planning, and academic success.

The ASCA National Model helps guide the program by supporting schools to have programs that:
are based on data-informed decision making
are delivered to all students systematically
include a developmentally appropriate curriculum focused on the mindsets and behaviors all students need for postsecondary readiness and success
close achievement and opportunity gaps
result in improved student achievement, attendance and discipline
