The Students must carry their College Identity Card/library membership card with them at all the time inside the Library. Students should show the Identity Card compulsorily at the time of books check-out/check-in or whenever asked by the library staff
The readers shall maintain silence within the library premises. Conversations, gossip, use of mobile phones are not allowed. Decent behavior is expected. Users who violate these rules are liable for suspension from library privileges and may face disciplinary action.
The Library staff at the entrance and exit gate of the Library is authorized to search the person or a reader if he/she suspects that he/she is carrying any other property from the Library.
The borrowing facility can be withdrawn or restricted in case of misbehavior of users.
Membership card must be renewed every year as notified.
In case a student loses his/ her membership card then the student should report the loss of card immediately to the librarian and apply for a Duplicate card on the prescribed form available at the Library Counter by paying Rs. 50/- per ticket.
Library cards are not transferable: The borrower card holders should come personally to borrow the books and the authorization is not allowed.
All personal belongings, such as books, bag, coat, umbrella, personal files, Photocopies that do not belong to the library must be deposited in the library counter at the entrance of the library as personal books, photocopies and printed loose papers are not allowed inside the library under any circumstances.
Photocopy service is available only for Library material on payment.
Students are required to handle the Books and reading material very carefully. Marking library books with pencil or ink, tearing the pages or spoiling the same is strictly prohibited.
Loss of books/damaged: every borrower from the library is responsible for the safe custody and return of the book borrowed by him/her. In the event of damage or loss he/she shall replace the book or pay the double cost of the book. The person has to pay the fine plus the cost of the books that includes processing charges at the time of clearance from the library.
Readers should not deface, mark, cut, mutilate or damage library resources in any way. If anyone is found doing so, he/she will be charged the full replacement cost of the resource. Books Borrowed should be protected from RAIN, FIRE, DUST, INSECT as in case.
Discipline should be maintained in the library. The position of the chairs and tables should not be changed or displaced.
The readers are liable for fine if they either misbehave or damage the books or any other property of the library.
Reference books, rare books, unbound periodicals and books of fine arts may not be issued generally except with the written permission of the Librarian.
The books may be renewed if the same are not in demand or are not reserved by other readers. The renewal will be done generally on the physical presentation of the books, but in special cases, renewals by post, telephone or by other means of communication may be allowed by the Librarian.
All overdue fines (if any) should be settled before taking any NO DUES Certificate from the Library, Failing to which the Examination Ticket will not be issued. The College Transfer Certificate will be issued to the student only after he/ she has returned all the Library books and cleared all library dues.
No visitor or guest is permitted to use the Library without the prior permission of the Librarian. She/he is required to produce a proper introduction letter from the concerned principal thereafter who wishes to use the Library facility.
Readers are requested not to bring any valuable/costly materials like Jewels, Money and any other such things to the library.
The library rules and regulations shall be modified from time to time and shall be binding on all concerned.
Students can borrow two books at a time. Full-time teaching faculty can borrow six books at a time and those faculties who are involved in research activities can borrow ten books.
The library advisory committee may suggest the limitation of books to faculty and students on the Basis of their library collection.
A sum of ‘Two rupee’ will be collected per day per book beyond the stipulated overdue.
The member should report immediately to the librarian about the loss of library documents borrowed from the library.
Library Working Hours
a) On Working Days:
i. Generally, the college library shall remain open to the students and the staff
Monday to Friday: 9:30AM to 5:00PM.
Saturday 9:30AM to 1:30PM
ii. The college library timings may vary depending on the college working hours and college
Infrastructure and availability of library supporting staff.
iii. The library timings may be extended by the library advisory committee recommendation. It has
been fixed for as many hours as possible for the readers to use the library on availability of
Sufficient staff and library infrastructure and facility.
b) On Holidays:
The library will remain closed on General, National and Local holidays.
