The agenda of the workshop was successfully delivered to the participants by the resource person. The resource person explained basics of TCL script like set command, pro and puts statement. Resource person also explained NS2 Program structure which include creating network simulator, creating multiple nodes, opening animation and trace files. Steps to create the network traffic using TCP/UDP protocols, attaching transport and application layer protocols to nodes was delivered. AWK file structure was explained and hands on given for the same. Network Congestion was explained using XGRAPH.

Description: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering, in association with V-AIC & IEEE-CIS conducted Coding Competition on 31st Jan,2023. It was state level competition. students from various engineering colleges of Karnataka were registered and participated. Total 58 teams were registered with 165 participants. Total 3 rounds conducted in competition. In that, 26 teams were qualified for second round and 11 teams were qualified for final round. All the participated students awarded with certificates and top 3 teams awarded with cash prizes and certificates.

Description: The Orator’s club of Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering, conducted PICK & SPEAK and JUST A MINUTE session for students of 3rd and 5th semester. The event was compared by Ms. Pragya Babu and judged by the faculties of the Department of Humanities, VVCE, Mysuru.
The rules of the events were introduced to participants by the student coordinators of the orator’s club and each participant was provided a minute to speak about a topic randomly. The 6 best performers were shortlisted for the next round and was judged on JAM by assessing their fluency in speech. The objective of the session was to instill confidence among students to face interviews and public speaking talent building. Ms. Manogna and Ms. Nagaprapthi of 5th sem CSE(AI&ML) were bagged first and second prizes respectively. Ms. Manogna of 5th sem CSE(AI&ML) was the winner of JAM session. Following the session, prizes were distributed to winners by the HOD,CSE(AI&ML).

The outreach activity was very interactive and educative. The school students actively involved in the sessions and the teachers of the school appreciated the efforts and involvement of the resource persons Prof. Latha & Prof. Varshitha D N coordinated the activity.

The training program was inaugurated by Dr. Sadashive Gowda, Principal of VVCE, Dr. Ravikumar Dean of CSE, VVCE & Dr. Vinutha DC, HOD of CSE(AIML) on 27.02.2023.
The aim of the training program was to train the students & faculty on IOT using Embedded Al kits to initiate the Embedded Al skill lab
Total strength of 43 students & 8 faculty were trained during this 5 days training program which included 16 students & 2 faculty from CSE, 17 students & 4 faculty from CSE(AIML) and 10 students & 2 faculty from ISE departments.
Handson sessions on the projects such as predictive analysis, n-classification, anomaly detection motion & gesture recognition were conducted along with basic concept explanation on all 5 days of training program. Students were given introduction about embedded technology, machine learning, artificial intelligence & IOT concepts

The objectives of the industry visit are: To know about Cyber system & its security.
VI semester students of department of CSE(AI&ML) were taken to Cyberverse Foundations as an industrial visit. Cyberverse company works on cyber security technology. Mr. Yashwanth, Business head of the Cyberverse gave an insightful talk on cyber security, he explained about the threats in network. The resource person also highlighted some issues and mistakes the youth commit while using social media, the do’s and don’ts while using network and many more things about network security along with cyber-crime.
Students were even given an idea about ethical hacking and cyber war. The hacking system model along with a data Centre were showcased in the company. Students were explained about the hacking concepts using the model.

Description: Workshop on "Machine Learning" was conducted by Department of CSE(AI&ML) in association with ISTE student chapter & IEEE student chapter of VVCE for 5th semester students on 13th & 14th December 2023. The resource person was Mr. Sharath Chandra Nagendran, Senior Architect, Tata Consultancy Services -Bengaluru
Dr. Vinutha D CHOD, CSE(AIML), Mr. Praveen Kumar, Regional Heas from TCS, Bengaluru and Mr. Sharath Chandran the resource person from TCS were present during the inauguration.
The resource person conducted an insightful workshop on Mathematics behind Machine Learning model building on the first day of workshop, every detail of mathematics used in implementation of important regression models like Linear regression and Logistic regression were taught to the students on the second day of workshop the basics of neural network and deep learning were taught. students found the workshop very interesting and understood the mathematics behind the basic machine learning models and realized the importance of mathematics in Machine Learning.

The resource person for the workshop was Shabari S, a student of 7th semester. The aim of the workshop was to provide knowledge on website hosting.

Prerequisites: basic Python, HTML and CSS
1. Students learnt about the Difference between static and logic web app.
2. static web hosting using GitHub.
3. Creating flask webapp for dl and ml model
4. Hosting flask webapp through static IP
5. Hosting website using WSGI servers like render.com.
