The students can do these simple steps on their laptops to enable either Microphone and/or Camera to allow access while in the Google Chrome browser to utilize the Hangouts.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, then click on the Privacy tab (**).
Select Microphone. (or Camera - if you need both you can do one then the other)
Select the checkbox next to an app to allow it to access the microphone (or Camera). Typically you will be checking off Google Chrome Browser.
