Community Visit Day - March 21, 2023

On Community Visit Day, Northfield community members will come together to discuss assets, challenges, and ideas for their future in 6 in-person forums and a Zoom forum. Topics for discussion were chosen in advance by a steering committee of local leaders and will include: Youth and Families; Building Norwich and Northfield Connection; Housing; Recreation; Public and Community Safety; and Infrastructure: Broadband, Walkability, Transportation, and Sewer.

The day will also include a free community dinner featuring local musicians.  A listening team of federal, state, business, nonprofit and philanthropic leaders will join the forums and dinner. Childcare will be available. Here are the notes from forum discussions in March and the action ideas for prioritization at the April 18th meeting.

Community Meeting Day - April 18, 2023

Northfield community members will come together to review, discuss, and vote to prioritize ideas for action shared in last month's forums. Through a dot-voting exercise, participants will whittle down a list of action ideas to a few priorities and then sign up to join local task force groups that will move them forward. See the action ideas for prioritization.

Community Resource Meeting and Task Force Launch - May 16, 2023

Northfield community members will come together for the final step in the process. The new task force groups will build action plans, set the scope of their work, and meet with a visiting team of resource providers and experts to identify available resources and funding opportunities. From here forward, all action is focused at the local task force level. Here are the 4 priorities chosen by the community that task forces will work to advance. Join a task force today and be part of a team advancing positive action for Northfield!
