Hearing from community members is the key to building a strong list of ideas for the future that will best support Franklin's progress. Community members had the opportunity to share their ideas in the following ways:
At the Kick-Off event on March 19th at 4 focus forums on topics chosen by a steering committee of community representatives: Lake Carmi; Recreation & Community Events; Building a Welcoming Community; and Economic Development: Workforce & Business.
At two Youth Forums, with students at the Franklin Community School and Missisquoi Valley Union Middle and High School.
Through an online and paper survey. Surveys were available at the Town Clerk's office (5167 Main Street) and digitally on this webpage.
As they are available, we post the full list of compiled notes from the focus forums of the March meeting, the action ideas for prioritization which are discussed at the April meeting and voted down to a list of top priorities chosen at that April meeting. Once priorities are chosen, community members can sign up to join a task force to help advance work on those priorities.
