Today we slept in after our long journey the day before. Nina and I went to the store together with Mr. Devos and Mr. Debruyne to do some shopping. We were expected at Walraven at 1 p.m. We were received by Martin Beer and Jaroslav Šulc. After a brief explanation, we were shown around the Horka factory by Mr Šulc. This is 1 of 3 Walraven branches in the Czech Republic. This is where me and Nina will work in the coming days. After the tour in Horka we also visited the other branches. Tomorrow the official working day starts and we will be guided by Mr. Šulc.

Today was our first working day in Walraven. Nina and I first received some explanation about our project that we will be working on in the coming days. Then we were allowed to get to work ourselves. We started by researching the material, what the problem is and what the solution could be. We have typed this out in a document and we will continue with this on Monday. After our work day we went to watch ice hockey. This is very popular. It was Dynamo's first playoff match against Mountfield. We were lucky to be at the front. Quite an experience, but it is a beautiful experience. We ended the evening in McDonalds.

Today was a quiet day. We all slept quite a while but had to get up around 9am. A trip was planned to the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague. It was a fairly long car ride. After about an hour and a half we arrived in the beautiful city. My first impression was WOW. We parked the car and were then allowed to explore the city freely. Nina and I immediately explored the shopping center and made some nice purchases. Afterwards we briefly explored Prague and had a drink with the whole group in the Malá brasserie. It is a very pleasant place to sit, I also ate some kind of thick pancakes, which were delicious. After our drink we headed home and stopped briefly at the store to purchase some pancake making supplies. In the evening Nina and I made delicious pancakes that were very popular.

Today is Sunday, a day of rest. We slept a long time until around 10am. Arno and Luciano cooked for lunch. Homemade puree was made with fish sticks, spinach and peas. After our meal we got ready to go for a walk. This was in prachovské skály, a forest with rocks where you had very beautiful views. We took a walk of more than 3.5 km. After our trip we returned to the house and all ate some baguette with toppings. Then we went to bed early because we have to go back to work tomorrow.

Today was our first working day of this week. We got up quietly around 7am and prepared to leave. Nina and I continued working on our report on aerofoam bonding. Then we started further developing and drawing the ideas. Our working day ended at 2 p.m. and then we were picked up by Mr. Devos. The gentleman then followed Arend and Wout and took them to the store for meat for the BQQ. When the boys were home they turned on the fire and we prepared the vegetables. It was very tasty and pleasant. In the evening we all played a game together.

Today I get up again around 7 am to go to work. It is our 3rd working day and our project is already taking shape. We are now working on further developing and drawing up our idea in order to be able to show a visual image of our idea at the end of our internship. Nina mainly drew the individual pieces, after which I assembled them into a whole. After our working day, the boys went for a walk and the women guarded the house. When the boys got back they started making dinner, hamburgers were on the menu. After dinner we all cleared the table and cleaned up the house a bit. We had some small talk afterwards and then went to sleep to be fresh for the next day.

Today is Wednesday, the middle of the work week. As usual, we got up around 7am and left for work. Nina and I continued to work on our project and around 10:30 am we were allowed to present it to the Walraven team. They were very satisfied with our ideas. It was an educational experience for us. After the short meeting we continued working on our project. We were picked up for the last time by Mr. Devos because tomorrow he and Mr. Debruyne are leaving back to Belgium. When we arrived at the house, Mr. Sintobin and Mr. van den Bremt were already there. They will take care of us for the coming week. For dinner it was chicken with rice and curry sauce. After dinner there was a dessert: ice cream with strawberries and chocolate sauce. It was the first and last time with ten of us.

Today is another working day. We started the day quietly and continued working on our project. At 10 o'clock it was lunch break until 10:30. Around 11 am we went to the factory to glue the foam ourselves. We brought all the necessities downstairs and were able to experience for ourselves how difficult it is. This allows us to continue working on a solution to automate this process. It was a very educational experience and also cool to do this yourself. After work we left for the Nova Paka brewery. We got a tour and even got to taste their beer. Back home we ate homemade spaghetti from Mr. van den Bremt and ended the day.

Today I got up as usual around 7am. The working day was different than other times. This time Nina and I worked separately. I was allowed to work in the factory itself. My job was to assemble. I enjoyed doing this because I like working with my hands. My job was to turn nuts on a bolt, which may sound boring but I really enjoyed myself. In total I made 1375 pieces. After work we followed Arend and Wout to go to the store together. In the evening we ate hot dogs. We stayed home this evening and drank a homemade mojito and played games. Then I went to sleep because it will be a busy weekend.

Today is Saturday. I slept in until about 10am. We complete ourselves leisurely because today we explored the city of Pardubice. This is the city where we were already to see Dynamo play. When we arrived, Nina and I first did some shopping. The amateur boys are on the slide and they are in the mall. After the short shopping session we explore the town. There were many beautiful buildings and after walking around we had a drink in a café. We left for the stadium around 4:30 am. We started supporting Dynamo again. As the icing on the cake, we did not receive a scarf from the team. It was an exciting match but Dynamo still won. After the match we had something to eat at Burger King and then returned home.

Today is Sunday our last weekend day in the Czech Republic. Our plan is to visit Prague again. We all get up early so we arrive there around 11am. We park the van and start our walk. Our first stop is in a square with a special clock that moves and makes sounds every hour. Afterwards we had a drink in the Hard Rock café in Prague. It was a cool experience. Then we walked around the town some more on our way to an Italian restaurant where we had made a reservation. I ate a delicious pasta with mussels and scampi. It was very nice and cozy. After dinner we continued our walk. We visited old Prague and walked across the Love Bridge. To top it all off we ate trdelnik, a traditional dessert. After our walk we had something to drink and then we returned home. We stopped briefly at the store for dinner. I crawled into bed early because tomorrow is another working day.

Today is the first working day of our last week here. As usual we got up at 7am. Once we arrived at work, we immediately started working on our report from last week. Because we were able to glue ourselves, we were able to write down our experiences and improve our ideas. At 12:30 a meeting was scheduled with our boss Jaroslav Šulc, the production manager, technical advisor and the technical mechanic. Kurt van den Bremt was also at this meeting. After the meeting, Nina and I were assessed by Mr. Šulc and his colleague. Afterwards we took a photo together. After work Nina and I returned to the house and the boys drove on to take another walk among the rocks. When they got back we all got ready to leave for the restaurant. We invited the bosses to thank them. It was a pleasant evening with all of us. After dinner we go to bed early because tomorrow is another working day.

Today was our penultimate day at work. We worked hard on our final report to discuss at our last meeting tomorrow. We were picked up by van around 2pm and dropped off at home. We had a quick meal in the house and then prepared to leave for the highest mountain, Mount Sněžka. We all dressed warmly and then left. First we made a stop at a dam close by. It was beautiful and there was snow. We played with the snow and went for a walk. After the short stop we drove higher up the mountain. We arrived at a parking lot. Normaa we took a cable car all the way to the top, but unfortunately it was under maintenance. There was a lot of snow on the mountain and it was very windy. We all played in the snow and enjoyed the view. Then we returned home. To eat we stopped in a nice restaurant/café called Novopacké Sklepy. After dinner we returned home and Nina and I started to prepare our suitcase for Thursday's departure. Then we went to sleep so we could start our last working day fresh.
