I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at Virginia Tech. My research interests span climate change, agricultural production, policy evaluation, causal inference, geospatial data, environmental and natural resource economics, health economics, and remote sensing. I focus on exploring the interactions between the environment and human activities.
My previous research examined the effects of nature reserves on rural communities in China and the impacts of climate change on perennial crop production in California. Currently, I am investigating the air quality effects and health benefits of China’s Grain for Green program, the country’s largest ecological restoration initiative.
