• Evaluating the Impact of the Mariel Boatlift on Female Labor Market Outcomes: A Synthetic Difference-in-Differences Analysis (with Chunbei Wang and Chanita Holmes)

This project examines how the influx of Cuban immigrants during the Mariel Boatlift of 1980 affected the female labor market outcomes such as labor market participation, unemployment, and wages. By employing the Synthetic Difference-in-Differences approach, we provide new insights for shaping immigration policy.

This project examines how the influx of Cuban immigrants during the Mariel Boatlift of 1980 affected the self-employment rate of the local workers.
