At Biowright Labs we integrate approaches from synthetic, systems, and computational biology, protein engineering, bioinformatics, molecular evolution, and genetics to measure and engineer signaling dynamics, genetic interactions, and functional relationships controlling useful aspects of biology. We build tools, such as biosensors and bioinformatics algorithms, to facilitate quantitative top-down genetics approaches to study and engineer genetically tractable model archaea, bacteria, yeast, fungi, and plants towards applications in agriculture, biomanufacturing, and sustainability.Â
