PhD Students in Mining & Minerals Engineering
Description
The research group of Dr. Wencai Zhang at Virginia Tech offers graduate research assistant positions. Successful candidates are expected to perform state-of-the-art research in the fields of critical material separation and purification, secondary resource characterization and utilization, as well as low-grade ore and mining waste utilization.
Preferred Qualifications
Research experience in at least one of the following areas: froth flotation, solvent extraction, selective adsorption, and membrane-based separation.
B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, and at least one degree in mining engineering, minerals engineering, metallurgical engineering, or a related field.
Excellent undergraduate GPA.
Demonstrated publication record.
Excellent work ethic, time management, and organization skill.
