Meet Dr. Daniel Hoek
PHILOSOPHY
Dr. Daniel Hoek specializes in the philosophy of language, mathematics and mind. He is especially interested in the theory of questions, and he has used insights from linguistic semantics and pragmatics to help describe the role that questions play in the way that people think, reason and act. He has also written about the ways in which what we literally say differs from what we mean to convey, particularly when speaking loosely or metaphorically.
