The Virginia Power Analytics & Cybersecurity (VPAC) Service Center offers RTDS-based services to the Virginia Tech community and outside parties, including utilities, consultants, system operators, and research organizations.

To use the RTDS, you must get an appointment using the RTDS reservation link on the top of the page. You can use RTDS only if your reservation gets accepted.

Disclaimer: Please note that to use RTDS, you need to create an account on the RTDS website first (rtds.com). You can choose to use your VT email address, but you don’t have to. If the information you use to create an account is not immediately identifiable to the account admin (Dr. Mehrizi-Sani), you’d need to send him an email using your VT email address and letting him know so he can approve your account. Considering that you will be creating an account on rtds.com, RTDS will have access to the information you share. RTDS is a highly privileged resources, but its use is not a requirement for graduate degree completion.
