Want to build the future of mindfulness technology?
We combine engineering, design, and contemplative practice to create new ways for people to manage stress, sharpen awareness, and support well-being.
If you like building things, experimenting, and helping others, join us.
Opportunities include:
Undergraduate research projects
Senior capstone projects in ECE, CS, Industrial Design, and related fields
Graduate research collaborations
Hackathons and design challenges
Access to our Tinker List of inspiring devices to build, modify, or reverse-engineer
Instead of focusing only on clinical tools, we aim to spark a hands-on movement within the embedded systems community.
Just as past generations built radios, drones, or robots, we invite today’s engineers to create their own “mindfulness cocoons” — devices and spaces that support calm, focus, and joy.
Your support will help us:
Build a library of open-source designs and tutorials
Host playful competitions and community workshops
Provide students with materials, tools, and mentorship
Keep projects low-cost, open-access, and student-led
Ways to contribute:
Financial donations (fund projects, competitions, and student stipends)
Equipment donations (see our Tinker List for inspiration)
Sponsorship of student teams or events
We’re building a lab at the intersection of art, technology, and mindfulness, and we need your creative touch.
If you can create a logo, posters, graphics, videos, or installations, your work will help define the lab’s story and inspire others to join.
Possible projects:
Lab branding and promotional materials
Visual or audio art for immersive mindfulness spaces
Interactive installations blending art and biofeedback
Not a student, donor, or artist? You can still play a big role.
We welcome support from anyone who shares our vision:
Professors or researchers in any discipline who want to collaborate
Labs with unused equipment or materials to repurpose
Wellness practitioners who can share techniques and resources
Local makers or hobbyists with tools or technical skills to share
Anyone with low-tech mindfulness props (yoga mats, bolsters, blankets, lighting, instruments, etc.)
No contribution is too small — from a single LED to a shared idea.
Reach out if you:

Know a company that might provide equipment or sponsorship
