My primary research revolves around the related fields of earthquake geology and neotectonics, integrating structural geology, geomorphology, Quaternary stratigraphy, and geochronology to investigate the processes controlling earthquake recurrence, fault system evolution, and mountain growth.
Motivating my research is the direct contributions to human safety that we can make through conceptual and site-specific advances in our understanding or earthquakes and earthquake processes.
Beginning in August 2019, I have taken on a new role as a Research Scientist in the Department of Geosciences at Virginia Tech.
