This semester we'll be learning about optimization algorithms for Machine Learning algorithms. Our primary text will be Optimization Methods for Large-Scale Machine Learning by Bottou, Curtis, and Nocedal. We will also explore supplementary articles that align with our academic and research interests.
Location: D&DS 445. Time: 2:30-3:30pm every Friday
