Thank you for interest in applying to be a CIT or Counselor at Prince George 4-H Camp! 

**To apply to be a CIT you must have been 14 by 9/30/2025 and to be a Counselor you must have been 15 by 9/30/2025**

The first step is to complete your registration in Destiny One/Extended Education and pay your deposit. Please see the payment information tab above to see the fees for 2026.

You will need to go to 4-H Online to complete the paperwork portion of your application. You can find the link to 4-H online under the paperwork tab above. You will also receive email instructions on the process.

Training Dates and References Information

April 9th at PGHS at 3pm. Elect big leaders, Counselors pick CITs and confirm TALT participants

April 18th, TALT at Airfield 4-H Center call 757-899-4901 to register

June Recreation Department date TBA

Background Checks for 18 +

All 18 year old Counselors will need to complete and pass a background check. In order to do this, you will need to complete the steps below:

Complete the Google Form with teen name and e-mail address, unit name of "Prince George" and "Hermon Maclin" as the name requesting the check.

      2. The State 4-H Office will initiate background checks

      3. Teens will then receive an email from Sterling Volunteers and need to provide required information to complete background check. You may need to check your spam folder if you do not receive it.

      4. We will review the results when you have completed your background check.

      5. Background check will not be linked or associated with 4-H online enrollment

This is ONLY for teens who will be 18 years old or older at the time of your camp week this summer.
