Cloverbud Clubs for ages 5-8

True Blue Cloverbuds: Meets the third Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m.  Learn about a variety of farm animals and agriculture topics.

Clubs for ages 9-18

 Archery Club: Meets the first and third Sunday of every month from 2-4 p.m.  Focuses on safety, marksmanship, precision, accuracy, and general outdoors education.  

Meeting location:  Orange County Fairgrounds, 14500 Old Gordonsville Road, Orange.

Bit & Bridle Club: Horse Club that meets on second Fridays at 6 p.m.  Includes variety of horse knowledge events, guest speakers, team work, exploration of riding disciplines, and more.

Dairy Club: Meets the second Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m.  Educates youth about the dairy industry.  Offers quiz bowl and judging competitions and promotes dairy to the public.

Homestead Club: Meets the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m.  Projects include goats, poultry, rabbits, and plants, and the uses or purposes of each.

Adventure Club, Locust Grove Middle School: Focuses on all things outdoors, such as nature education, camping, canoeing, fishing, hiking & survival skills.  This is a school sponsored club.  Contact adviser for meeting schedule. Open to LGMS Students only

Livestock Club: Meets the first Wednesday of most months at 7:00 p.m.  (Alternating months consist of off-site workshops; sign up beforehand.)  Projects focus on beef, sheep, hog and meat goat production.

SPIN Clubs (Short-term Special Interest)

SPIN Clubs meet for a defined period of time (6 weeks to 6 months) and focus on a particular project area. Examples include poultry, quilting, careers, hiking, First Aid, and more. 

SPIN Clubs need adult volunteer leaders and we'll help do the rest! Training provided, marketing assistance, etc. Please contact the Extension office today if you have an idea for a SPIN club and someone to lead it.
