Probing the limits of photonics-enhanced information processing

The primary focus of this workshop will center around the emerging confluence of photonics hardware and electronics information processing, encompassing not only imaging and computer vision (with free-space optical frontends) but also on-chip computational sensors and signal processors on photonics integrated circuits (PIC) platforms. The key objectives include understanding the limits of photonics-enhanced information transmission, extraction and processing, co-designing hardware/software pipelines, and identifying applications across various domains. The workshop's format is designed to facilitate engaging and interdisciplinary discussions. It will comprise invited talks, breaks for discussion, and round-table panels. The speakers are encouraged to include forward-looking questions and ideas in their talks.
