Wednesday Class Insights
Line dancing enjoyed seeing their movements on screen. Kitchen Science made fresh mozzarella. Fitness Fun chose to play ga-ga and basketball matches were one-on-one. The two High Ropes classes were on the Leap of Faith (climb to the top of a pole and jump) and the Climbing Wall, both with so many brave campers. T-shirt art unveiled their taped designs. Engineer It classes built bridges and tested their weight with rocks and eventually human participants standing on them. Arts & Crafts campers finished paintings and made beaded necklaces.
Orange-Madison's...Got...Talent!
We enjoyed a live production Tuesday night of our campers' best talents. There was dancing, singing, piano playing, and some fun, corny jokes! We're proud of our youth who were brave to perform in front of their peers. We're also proud of the audience who were supportive and encouraging!
We forgot to mention that the Great Bears did yoga with Obsidian. What great role models to just go with the flow when called upon.

Oh, yes it is!
Monday Evening Pack Challenges
We planned a variety of games. "Oodles of Noodles" involved a relay race where you had to carry all of the pool noodles your previous pack members had picked up, plus grab your own. There was "toe painting" with a theme of the great outdoors. The "Human Pinata" involved very special staffers being willing to be chased by two campers from each pack who wanted the candy attached to the shirts. Talk about fast paced - whew!
Packs worked together to pass the hula hoop without unlinking hands. And there were the "Doodleheads" who donned shaving cream and had to catch the cheez doodles being tossed by their partner. What a fun night!

There's lots of camp spirit this morning and we're off to a great, sticky morning of classes.
Sunday Evening - First Campfire of the Week
Our Great Bears, Spins and Joe Dirt, got us off to a great start for campfires. Each pack's elected Little Bear was recognized, and our opening song was Loaded with 4-H Spirit.
Sunday, June 2, 2024
We had safe travels to camp and got acquainted with those in our lodges. Then we met the staff and headed to the pool for swim tests. The skies might have been cloudy, but it didn't put a damper on our afternoon at the pool. The snack bar was a busy, busy place, too!
