Ph.D. Candidate
Agricultural, Leadership, and Community Education

(Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University)

Welcome to my personal page!

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Agricultural, Leadership, and Community Education (ALCE) program at Virginia Tech and the instructor of record for the foundational undergraduate writing course; Communicating Agriculture in Writing. I come from Ghana, West Africa, which undergirds my interests in critical issues in agricultural education and community development.

My professional and academic goals reflect the critical nexus of education, community development, and agricultural policy. I have been active in exploring Collective Agency as a theory of change from a multisector/multi-agential grassroots organizing lens. As an educator, I run what I call a culturally democratic learning room, where I empower my students as co-creators of knowledge.
