Project 3: Humans

Aim 1: Define epidemiological patterns of influenza virus transmission in a high-transmission environment (child care centers).

Aim 2: Map the presence and quantity of influenza virus detected in the child care environment.

Aim 3: Evaluate non-pharmaceutical interventions on the presence of virus in the air and on surfaces and model projected impact on (1) absenteeism rates and (2) laboratory-confirmed acute respiratory viral illness.
