Our club doesn't have a dedicated 4-H Project Book because what specific activities we do changes year to year, and we have a broad range of experience levels and interests among our members. Members are encouraged to complete a project record for the club or for a personal project related to the club using the project book below:

Our club has benefitted greatly from resources and ideas shared by others in the ham radio and STEAM/Maker communities. Below you will find some of our activity guides which we are sharing in hopes they will be used to teach and inspire other youth to pursue STEAM through amateur radio. This escape room was originally designed for two teams in separate but connect rooms and required them to collaborate to complete the escape room. It can be easily modified to be for a small group in one room. The map, Morse code sheets, and the python code for the Arduino flashing Morse code on an LED is available here. We used a Byonics' Pico fox from our foxhunts and programed it with Morse code tones for the grid square beacon. We also created a table top version of this room for the ARRL Youth Lounge at Hamvention 2024. Those files can be found here.
This escape room was done at our end of year holiday party. It was written for a larger group of 12 youth playing at once. It combines ham radio with geography and world holidays to learn a little bit more about what people celebrate around the world near the end of the year. We've included the images, clues, and the files used for clues hidden in digital modes on the computer that we used in our room here as a starting point. It's a semi-complex room and the guide wasn't originally written to setup the activity from scratch. Apologies it's not a polished guide, but hopefully it gives you some ideas for your own version.
