Applications are accepted from:
Teens who are at least 14 years old by January 1 of the camp year (prioritizing 9th -12th grade teens)
Teens who are positive role models and enjoy working with children ages 9-13
Teens who like to have fun and help others
Teens who want to become better leaders and improve skills for the future
All necessary training is provided! There is a reduced camp fee for Counselors. Scholarships may be available for those with financial need.
Complete and submit a counselor application online.
Ask three adults not related to you to serve as references. Provide them with a link to complete the reference form . Select people who know you well and can attest to your character and your ability to work with and supervise youth.) Suggested people to ask to be your references are teachers, coaches, religious leader, 4-H leaders, employers, and/or guidance counselors.
Complete an interview – You will select your date and time when completing application.
Teens who have applied, participated in an interview and been accepted as teen counselors will participate in training to prepare them for their job as a teen counselor at 4-H Camp.
