Fall 2019
Along with other early career LCZO researchers, we collaborated with the Environmental Sciences Department at the University of Puerto Rico and presented 4 seminar speakers in the department's weekly graduate seminar series.
I was also invited to give the talk "Hydrology and Biogeochemistry in El Yunque" in Dr. Jorge Ortiz Zayas' undergraduate Water Resources course and at the Environmental Sciences undergraduate seminar series.
August 2016 - July 2020
During my time as a technician of the LCZO, I worked on education efforts related to water resources and the critical zone. Some examples were:
LUQ LTER REU (Summer 2019): gave a talk to REU students on the work done by LCZO and invited students for field activities to teach them about water quality sampling methods
World Water Quality Monitoring Day (April 14, 2018)
Celebrating Earth Day on the Espíritu Santo (April 2017): gave a talk on water quality and LCZO research efforts to the Environmental Leadership Project which seeks to bring together high school students with interests in becoming environmental leaders in their communities
